Male Waxing: all you need to know from front to back.

Females Wax. Men Wax too. We think it’s awesome. We are equal opportunity waxers, and our licensed waxing professionals are here for you. PRICES are fair and competitive.

The idea of men waxing used to be a bit taboo. Not too long ago, consumers associated waxing with females receiving a beauty service in a frilly pink spa. Times have changed.

Men are speaking out. They want to give their follicles the respect they deserve. They want their waxing services, and they want the same level of quality that women have been receiving during this era of men’s waxing neglect.

Men, your voices have been heard! We offer a full menu of male body waxing, including men’s Brazilians. A male Brazilian, also known as a Manzilian or Guyzilian, is one of the most popular services we offer.

Sometimes clients can be a little nervous coming in for their first appointment, especially for a Brazilian, so here is a guide to help you feel more confident as you begin your waxing journey with us.

What is Waxing?

Waxing, whether for male or female, is a form of hair removal that uses wax to remove its root’s hair follicle. Positioned somewhere between the time-tested but inefficient hair removal modality of shaving and the trendy, more technically advanced modality of laser hair removal, waxing is a solid choice for those seeking a professional, affordable and safe service with longer-lasting results.

BENEFITS OF WAXING

  • Results last weeks longer, and hair grows back smoother than shaving.
  • It can be less expensive than shaving.
  • Hair Training: Ability to sync follicle’s hair growth cycles, over time, to eventually have a uniformly smooth
  • The experience between each waxing appointment
  • Ability to remove hair in areas you can’t normally reach yourself
  • Ability to remove hair in areas you can’t normally reach yourself
  • Save time by batching hair removal instead of shaving.

Why We Specialize In Male Body Waxing.

The hair on men’s bodies tends to be more prolific, longer, and coarser. Please note we are aware this isn’t always the case, and we are speaking in general terms.

Because this hair is coarser, we use a non-strip hard wax or a comparable wax, which is more suited for grabbing harder to remove hair. Our staff has extensive experience removing this type of hair.

What Does a Brazilian Entail?

Brazilians involve uprooting all of the hair from the pubic, bikini, or private area, including both the front and the back. Getting a Brazilian, whether for a male or female, is a more vulnerable experience for some clients and their skin. The skin within this perimeter is thinner, more mobile, and more sensitive. Compounding these attributes is the fact that the hair is coarser, even more-so for men. The combination of sensitive people, sensitive skin, and more challenging hair types creates a recipe requiring the service to be performed by a licensed, highly trained professional.

Our team of professionals is focused on making your waxing experience as comfortable and painless as possible.

Here are just a few of many of our best practices.

  • We thoroughly sanitize and prep your skin to ideally receive the service.
  • We properly sanitize our hands and use gloves.
  • We ensure the temperature of the wax is optimal for performance and the comfort of your skin.
WE DO NOT DOUBLE DIP OUR WAXING APPLICATORS INTO OUR WAX AFTER WE APPLY WAX TO YOUR SKIN. WE USE A NEW APPLICATOR EVERY TIME.

If you ever receive a waxing service and are doubling dipping, stop them from proceeding and remove yourself from the situation. Do not feel shy about doing so, and you should not have to pay. Not only is it against state health codes, but the wax also is not hot enough to kill transmittable viruses, and it is warm enough to harbor bacteria.

What is the Difference Between a Men’s Brazilian vs. a Woman’s

The only difference between a Brazilian for a woman vs. man is the hair types and the physicality and logistics of the body’s parts being waxed.

You will be on a table, covered with a clean paper.
Be prepared to oblige to place yourself in various positions such as on all fours or possible lifting of legs while on your back and assistance holding certain body parts at angles for us.

Again, we do everything we can to make this a pleasant experience for you.

3 TIPS FOR CARING FOR YOUR WAXED SKIN AT HOME

  • Keep area clean
  • Avoid friction such as scrubbing creams or a scrubber tool for the first 4 days.
  • Use the recommended topical product prescribed for you by your technician.

Please follow all specific instructions provided to you by your technician and reach out to us with any concerns you may have to offer solutions.

When your service is finished, if your technician advises you to purchase a product for at-home care, please know they are not just trying to see you something. There is an important reason for this.

Many products are designed specifically for newly waxed skin. These products are gentle. They are soothing, hydrating, and also contain an appropriate percentage of acidic or enzymatic exfoliants. These products help prevent skin build up around the follicle when used every day, thus significantly reducing ingrown hairs while minimizing red bumps. Some of these products also slowly inhibit hair growth and help regrowth feel softer.

3 TIPS FOR CHOOSING A WAXING PROFESSIONAL

  • Verify the technician is a licensed professional. By law, licenses should be visible to consumers who walk into the service establishment.
  • Check reviews for cleanliness
  • Double dipping is unacceptable and violates the health code.
  • Please pay a visit to the salon, spa, etc. to check out how clean their environment is

We strongly advise you to find a clean establishment and thoroughly trained licensed professional for waxing as well as for all of your beauty treatments.

We practice what we preach. We aim to share this waxing guide with you to help you feel completely at ease with choosing us for your waxing needs. We want you to have peace knowing you are in good hands. We would love to work with you, and we look forward to meeting you!
