Male Waxing: all you need to know from front to back.
Females Wax. Men Wax too. We think it’s awesome. We are equal opportunity waxers, and our licensed waxing professionals are here for you. PRICES are fair and competitive.
The idea of men waxing used to be a bit taboo. Not too long ago, consumers associated waxing with females receiving a beauty service in a frilly pink spa. Times have changed.
Men are speaking out. They want to give their follicles the respect they deserve. They want their waxing services, and they want the same level of quality that women have been receiving during this era of men’s waxing neglect.
Men, your voices have been heard! We offer a full menu of male body waxing, including men’s Brazilians. A male Brazilian, also known as a Manzilian or Guyzilian, is one of the most popular services we offer.
Sometimes clients can be a little nervous coming in for their first appointment, especially for a Brazilian, so here is a guide to help you feel more confident as you begin your waxing journey with us.
What is Waxing?
Waxing, whether for male or female, is a form of hair removal that uses wax to remove its root’s hair follicle. Positioned somewhere between the time-tested but inefficient hair removal modality of shaving and the trendy, more technically advanced modality of laser hair removal, waxing is a solid choice for those seeking a professional, affordable and safe service with longer-lasting results.
BENEFITS OF WAXING
- Results last weeks longer, and hair grows back smoother than shaving.
- It can be less expensive than shaving.
- Hair Training: Ability to sync follicle’s hair growth cycles, over time, to eventually have a uniformly smooth
- The experience between each waxing appointment
- Ability to remove hair in areas you can’t normally reach yourself
- Ability to remove hair in areas you can’t normally reach yourself
- Save time by batching hair removal instead of shaving.
Why We Specialize In Male Body Waxing.
The hair on men’s bodies tends to be more prolific, longer, and coarser. Please note we are aware this isn’t always the case, and we are speaking in general terms.
Because this hair is coarser, we use a non-strip hard wax or a comparable wax, which is more suited for grabbing harder to remove hair. Our staff has extensive experience removing this type of hair.
What Does a Brazilian Entail?
Brazilians involve uprooting all of the hair from the pubic, bikini, or private area, including both the front and the back. Getting a Brazilian, whether for a male or female, is a more vulnerable experience for some clients and their skin. The skin within this perimeter is thinner, more mobile, and more sensitive. Compounding these attributes is the fact that the hair is coarser, even more-so for men. The combination of sensitive people, sensitive skin, and more challenging hair types creates a recipe requiring the service to be performed by a licensed, highly trained professional.
Our team of professionals is focused on making your waxing experience as comfortable and painless as possible.
Here are just a few of many of our best practices.
- We thoroughly sanitize and prep your skin to ideally receive the service.
- We properly sanitize our hands and use gloves.
- We ensure the temperature of the wax is optimal for performance and the comfort of your skin.
WE DO NOT DOUBLE DIP OUR WAXING APPLICATORS INTO OUR WAX AFTER WE APPLY WAX TO YOUR SKIN. WE USE A NEW APPLICATOR EVERY TIME.
If you ever receive a waxing service and are doubling dipping, stop them from proceeding and remove yourself from the situation. Do not feel shy about doing so, and you should not have to pay. Not only is it against state health codes, but the wax also is not hot enough to kill transmittable viruses, and it is warm enough to harbor bacteria.
What is the Difference Between a Men’s Brazilian vs. a Woman’s
The only difference between a Brazilian for a woman vs. man is the hair types and the physicality and logistics of the body’s parts being waxed.

3 TIPS FOR CARING FOR YOUR WAXED SKIN AT HOME
- Keep area clean
- Avoid friction such as scrubbing creams or a scrubber tool for the first 4 days.
- Use the recommended topical product prescribed for you by your technician.
Please follow all specific instructions provided to you by your technician and reach out to us with any concerns you may have to offer solutions.
When your service is finished, if your technician advises you to purchase a product for at-home care, please know they are not just trying to see you something. There is an important reason for this.
Many products are designed specifically for newly waxed skin. These products are gentle. They are soothing, hydrating, and also contain an appropriate percentage of acidic or enzymatic exfoliants. These products help prevent skin build up around the follicle when used every day, thus significantly reducing ingrown hairs while minimizing red bumps. Some of these products also slowly inhibit hair growth and help regrowth feel softer.
3 TIPS FOR CHOOSING A WAXING PROFESSIONAL
- Verify the technician is a licensed professional. By law, licenses should be visible to consumers who walk into the service establishment.
- Check reviews for cleanliness
- Double dipping is unacceptable and violates the health code.
- Please pay a visit to the salon, spa, etc. to check out how clean their environment is
We strongly advise you to find a clean establishment and thoroughly trained licensed professional for waxing as well as for all of your beauty treatments.
We practice what we preach. We aim to share this waxing guide with you to help you feel completely at ease with choosing us for your waxing needs. We want you to have peace knowing you are in good hands. We would love to work with you, and we look forward to meeting you!
Anti-Aging Treatments: Inside Our Brains and Into Your Skin
Hello to you and your skin! Welcome to Electrology3000! We are stoked that you are here. If this is the first page of our website that you have read, then you started at the right place for restoration & rejuvenation.
Below is an overview of our approach to anti-aging skincare and what we have to offer. We are a fun and spunky bunch here at Electrology3000. It’s our way of balancing out our seriousness. You will not find more hardcore, passionate, and dedicated skin health professionals anywhere in Lewisville, TX.
We are not sheep and do not follow industry trends, and do not have loyalty to any specific brands.
We only use ingredients and delivery methods that are proven through scientific research to have statistically significant results.
Call us crazy, but we refuse to age more than we need to. Who invented this current state of skincare normalcy, anyway? We do not believe in normal, nor have we ever been normal. So, why start now?
Below is an interview-style example, between your brain and ours, of our most commonly asked questions from the lovely humans who want to know more about our anti-aging treatment options (along with a lot of heart and a whole-lotta-skin-love).
We hope this helps you understand more of what we are about!
Enjoy, and we will see you on-the-side.
Is There Such A Thing As Anti-Aging?
Yes. It’s called being dead. We all experience chronological aging due to existing. This is understandable and perfectly normal (for now). As we said, we have never been a fan or normal, so in the meantime, we are doing everything we can to make a difference in your skin.
Is There Such A Thing As Anti-Aging Cream?
Yes. It’s called sunscreen. Next question
(If you haven’t caught on, we are being hyperbolic). There are effective age-fighting ingredients, and we will talk about them in a minute).
Is There Such A Thing As Anti-Aging Facial Treatments?
Yes. It’s called Your Choices. Oh, and the treatments we describe below. Facials and products that are referred to as anti-aging treatments and anti-aging skincare do not stop aging. However, they do slow down, correct, and prevent the process and symptoms for restoration & rejuvenation.
What gets our goat is unnecessary premature aging. This is caused by behaviors that we do not need to engage in, but we do anyway, such as drinking too much alcohol, refined sugar, deliberately tanning artificially or in the sun, not wearing sunscreen every day, stress, and much more (as you probably already know).
But, you are not dead. You are a living, breathing, fun-having human who is experiencing life to the fullest. So we can’t be mad at you for the collateral damage of life that is premature aging. We love and accept you and all of your skin conditions!
Our Brains: The New Skin Care Menu
Do you know what else is truly unnecessary? A long-winded facial menu with 10 different types of facials on it. No offense, but we don’t expect you to know the exact ingredients you need to use on your skin and the technologies that go along with them. So how are you supposed to choose from a menu of 10 facials?
If you could, you wouldn’t need us as much, and besides, you shouldn’t have to.
We do not have a menu of facials because our brains are the menu.
We use our neurotransmitters to think about what we are doing, and we treat your skin by using exactly what your skin needs based on the assessment and nuanced cooperation of your skin. Not your friend’s skin, not your mom’s skin, and not your salmon’s skin (yum, salmon skin).
We could slice open our brains to show you all the nerdy treasures of skin treatment goodness we behold within…
Or, we could just tell you the skin conditions we treat :
Our Treatments For Skin Rejuvenation And Ant-Aging
Signs of chronological Aging/Photo-aging and Correction of age-related changes in the skin.
Treating Chronological Aging of the Skin falls under all three categories; rebuilding, protection, and maintaining.
The two most common manifestations of chronological aging of the skin are the breakdown of collagen and elastin, and age-related dark spots, aka passive pigmentation. We are using ingredients such as vitamin C and E to deliver ingredients to stimulate collagen and elastin production (rebuild), inhibit the production of melanin as it is triggered (protection), as well as staving off the triggers of these conditions (maintaining)
Chronological aging can be slowed down by preventing the deterioration of collagen and elastin. With the fibroblast stimulation process described above, we don’t have to wait until we see signs of deterioration. We can proactively prevent this deterioration with continuous treatment and homecare.
Strengthening the walls of blood vessels, improving blood microcirculation and Vascular Related Conditions
Oxygen is a key factor in strengthening the skin and having healthy skin.
In order to reduce and prevent bruising, prevent broken capillaries, create vibrant, healthy, and strong skin, optimized oxygen is needed. However, when our body receives nutrients, oxygen, and hydration, our skin is the last place to receive these elements and can lead to skin that is left lacking in optimal health.
Our treatments can treat these conditions by delivering ingredients into the skin that cause microcirculation and homeostasis; we treat these concerns:
- By Strengthening Blood vessel walls
- Stimulating microcirculation.
Pre-Op Preparation and Post-Op Rehabilitation
When preparing for pre and post-op experiences, DMK believes in training the skin and maintaining a history of proper skin PH balance and homeostasis. Think of it as a way of preparing for skin trauma in the same way a new runner needs to train for a marathon to prevent injury.
As mentioned above, strengthening vascular walls, fascia and optimizing oxygen make your skin stronger, more resilient, and less prone to bruising. This is important because by addressing these conditions before any level of the invasive pre-op procedure (trauma), your skin will respond to the treatment in an ideal way by and post-op healing is facilitated.
- Preventing Scarring post-op
- Preventing Bruising post-op
- Prevention of weakened fascia through redundant injection areas
- Deep Peels are more effective.
- Plastic Surgery Results are better when skin health is optimized.
Reduce the appearance of pigmentation and scars
- Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation from skin trauma or acne
- Skin Repair for psoriasis and eczema (note that this can also be a symptom of an unbalanced microbiome and should be considered during assessment)
Skin repair – with improving skin barrier function
